Hello Everyone!
This has been probably the busiest week that I have had here at Dwellworks yet! To start off the week I have been continuing my finalized audits and going through inspections, which I am still doing! When doing these late inspections I have been contacting various Field Agents and asking them to send completed home inspections with photos. I like doing this because it puts me out of my comfort zone and forces me to do things that I have not done before, such as call field agents asking for inspections that they are late on! It has taught me various ways on how to communicate about issues like this and throughout the week I have become more comfortable/confident when making these calls.
As for today and Thursday this week I have been working a lot with Promas and Atlas in Cartus. The reason why is because I have been helping Kevin Roos with a lot of his properties while he has been on vacation. To say the least, these past two days have given me a real insight about what goes on in the daily work week for property managers and all of what they have to deal with on a day to day basis. By assisting Kevin with all of his work I have learned a lot about how the Cartus system and all of the other databases in Cartus works along with learning ways to communicate with clients, homeowners and tenants via email! This has been really exciting for me because I feel like I am now able to assist the other PMs with more issues that they need help with then before!
After how busy this week was I can only imagine how busy the upcoming weeks will be! I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Hey Everyone,
This week has probably been the busiest for me as well. I started the week finishing printing operating statements for two more property managers. I also had to call field agents who had past due inspections. I had to find out when they were going to send these inspections. During the week, I filed e-mails for two property managers. This was a task that took a little more time than inspected because each property managers had over 200 e-mails that needed to be sorted. After all these were put in their appropriate folders, I took down messages that were left on the voicemails for the two property managers. Nick and I also helped send out inspections. We looked at inspection reports and drafted out letters to the homeowners explaining to them if there were any new damages that weren't on the previous report. This was something the PM's do each quarter and there were a lot of reports that needed to be sent out by the end of the week. I also helped one of the coordinators in sorting through mail and finding out who some of the letters belonged too. After that I scanned some lease agreements and sent them to the property manager they belonged too. Throughout the week I have done many tasks that were new to me and I have learned a lot about what the property managers do. This week was a real learning experience and I was able to help out a lot! In the next few weeks hopefully I will be able to help out the PM's more often with different things.

Hiya everyone,
It's a really weird feeling knowing this is the 9th week of my internship already. I say already because it feels as if the time has flown by. But at the same time being here for 9 weeks I'm no longer a newbie by Dwellworks standards. We have several new hires this summer as Dwellworks is constantly growing (they even hired their 200th full time employee since I've been here).
As mentioned a few weeks ago all the male interns in our downtown office put together the BPI road map poster. BPI had a big kick off event yesterday and revealed our posters to everyone. So I feel that since it's "dropped" I can post it for everyone to see.
The cars on Popsicle sticks were an idea directly taken from Billy Madison. Our poster allows you to move your car along the commute to work until you end in downtown Cleveland. Each step is associated with one of the 5 stages that BPI goes through. This poster will hang in the downtown office and let everyone know what projects BPI is working on and what stage it's in.
Work wise I've been doing the usual uploading things into PROPs and processing invoices. I also closed out some files for people leaving the property management program and made new welcome packets for those entering the program (During my time here I've made a lot more welcome packets than I filled out close outs, another indicator to me that Dwellworks will keep growing).
Onthe less serious side of things, I'm taking a half day today to go to Columbus with my brother to see Sublime with Rome perform. I am super pumped for the concert and for the first time I'm leaving work early since my time has started here!
Until next time,
You stay classy Cleveland

Hey Everyone
I hope everyone had a great Fourth of July and enjoyed their day off. This week went by pretty fast with the holiday off on Wednesday. Our office celebrated Fourth of July by enjoying a lunch with hot dogs, chips, watermelon, cookies, and much more. It was all very good! This week I have been helping Bob with printing out operating statements. I first printed out statements to complete an audit for a homeowner. After that was done, I began the task of printing operating statements for all the Dwellworks property managers in Cleveland and here in Phoenix. This is a lot of printing! I've gone through over 600 paper clips and there's about 6-7 pages in each paper clip. Printing these statements has kept me busy and I can't wait to start something new next week.

Hello,
It has been 2 months here with Dwellworks already! The experience has been great thus far and I have been through many new situations in the office type atmosphere. This week went by much quicker than most because of the day off for 4th of July. But, Sally one of the RMI Specialist was out of the office for the week so I was able to work in her behalf this week. Which made for an even quicker week because I was working on a full RMI workload. In the spare time I had during the week I worked on some auditing of some RMI invoices. The temperature is getting really hot here in Phoenix, so that means school is getting closer and closer. I look forward to enjoying my last month here in my internship and hopefully it is filled with a bunch of work.

Good 'morrow everyone,
this has been a crazy week. July 4th was on Wednesday so everyone got some time to, eat hot dogs and hamburgers, watch some fireworks, and be with their families. Since it is the beginning of the month our field agents have been sending us inspections to process. Helen our coordinator took off Thursday and Friday for some well deserved time off so I've busier than ever. Between inspections and my normal duties that I have told you in weeks past.
This week we, the downtown office interns, started to plan out our internship video. So far I think we have a really solid idea. And I know the execution will be fun. I'm not sure how professional the video will turn out but I know it’s going to be fun to make haha. We are going with an Avengers theme with each department having its own superhero. And it just makes sense as they filmed the movie in downtown Cleveland.
The fun committee was hard at work this week to celebrate the 4th. On Monday we had a shortened United States citizenship test for a prize. I was truly impressed when one of the PM's got every question right including the bonus! Tuesday the fun committee brought in some food for lunch that everyone really enjoyed. Thursday everyone got red, white, and blue popsicles. And to conclude the festivities today, Friday, there was a bald eagle, Uncle Sam scavenger hunt (two interns came in first and second, nbd).
Well that's the week that was to quote Boondocks Saint's
"Catch you on the flip side"

Hey Everyone,
This week has been filled with many different tasks, which has kept me pretty busy. I audited some of the property manager’s files and uploaded any missing documents into Props. I also audited files of California homeowners to make sure they had forms filled out for the California Franchise Tax. These were time consuming tasks because if there were missing forms I had to look in the Outlook public folders and the O drive to try and find them. I have also been busy printing 2012 operating statements for all the homeowner's for the PM's here in Arizona. There's a lot to print since there are five operating statements for each homeowner so far for 2012. The other interns and I also worked on our BPI project yesterday. I also finished alphabetizing the Cartus file cabinet!
Have a great weekend and Fourth of July!

Hello Everybody,
This week has gone by extremely fast! I guess it has gone fast though due to all of the daily tasks that have been consuming every minute of mine here! I have continued working on getting properties here that we managed registered along, which has taught me a lot about how certain laws change on rental properties depending on the city they are located in! I have also done more auditing, file and alphabetizing closed/open files, as well as putting the finishing touches together for the rough draft of the reference book that the PM interns and I have created! Also this week, we finished our BPI project! It took a lot of thinking to come up with the idea we wanted but we finally figured it out and created it this week! We have it hanging in the office Cafe!
As for the agenda for next week, it seems like I will be finishing a new project that I received today dealing with late inspections. I will also be going through some more PM training for 2 hours on Thursday along with 2 hours on Friday. I think that this training will be a great thing for myself to gain more knowledge about my internship position so that I will be able to help more people here at the Dwellworks office then I am already!
Have a great 4th of July everyone!

Hello All,
This past week has been fast paced with projects and other day to day work in the office. We completed our first BPI project this week and it is now hanging in the office cafe. The project is introducing the process of BPI to the rest of the company so that they can understand it. I also worked to complete another step of a project I am working with BPI on, RMI processes. In our weekly meeting, I was able to discuss the processes with the RMI team and we are going to put together a best process for the department. The other interns and I were also able to finish our first draft of the reference book project and send it over to management to review. It has been a busy week in finishing up many different projects which means we get to start on new projects. I look forward to next week when I will cover for an RMI specialist who will be out on vacation; it should keep me very busy.

Howdy everyone,
it’s Friday of week 7 and this might have been my busiest week thus far. Our BPI project is due today and my team has done a great job and we just need to put some finishing touches on our poster. Expect a picture later today. Other than that I have been processing invoices and uploading documents into PROPs as usual.
On Monday I was trained to process inspections. Every quarter our field agents do inspections of the tenant occupied properties. After the inspection is complete the field agent sends us a signed report and 20 or so pictures of the property. I upload all of the pictures, and the report, then e-mail the Property Manager that these tasks are completed. It sounds easy but it’s a lot of work when you consider each Property Manager has 40 or more properties. That's at least 800 pictures per Property Manager!
In other news, the Fun Committee had a meeting to plan some festivities for July 4th week, all patriotic themed of course. I'll tell you all about it in next week’s post (we're suppose to keep the activities on the DL so people don't know what is coming next week). I also drafted and sent an e-mail for the Fun Committee. It was about a Playhouse Square district and Dwellworks corn hole tournament that will be taking place at the end of July. I'm really looking forward to playing in the Dwellworks tournament and earning some serious bragging rights. Until next time, some practical advice,
don’t get hit by a bus,

Hi Everyone,
Wow! We have already finished week 6 at Dwellworks. Our time here is going by pretty fast and so far it's been a great experience. This week I continued working on the projects that have been assigned. I have almost finished the organization of the Cartus files and I have pretty much completed my research for the reference book the interns here have been working on. We also got together to come up with some ideas about our BPI project we were all assigned last Friday. We have a general idea of what we want, but hopefully we find out more today at the follow up meeting.
On a side note, Wednesday was the first day of summer and the fun committee brought us Dairy Queen to celebrate! It's also supposed to get cooler this weekend. It's only supposed to be about 106 degrees!

Hello Everybody!
This week marks my sixth week here at Dwellworks and I cannot believe it! It feels like I just started! Now that I have completed my sixth week it is amazing to look back and see all the projects and work that I have completed for Dwellworks! Everything that I have done has been a learning experience that I am glad that I have been able to go through and learn.
This week I worked in CARTUS and in PROPS in order to create spreadsheets for closed and canceled files, which is something that I have not done before! I have also been calling a variety of city's this week in order to try to find out if certain properties that CARTUS manages happened to be registered or not and if they were not registered I began to get them registered! Today, however, was our first philanthropy event with Bens Bells here in the office, which was a great time and I cannot wait to get started with our other philanthropy events!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Hi,
SIX WEEKS DOWN! Time has flown by here at Dwellworks and I have enjoyed all of it. I would have to say so far I have learned many skills that I hoped to learn. The situations I have been put in and the projects I have worked on taught me a lot thus far. The office staff has been so friendly and welcoming to us newbies.
Today we had our first charity event; we created Ben's Bells as an office. We molded clay into our own personal objects so that we can take them back to Tucson to be a part of many Ben's Bells. This week I covered for an RMI Specialist who was on vacation so I was able to experience a full case load again as well as working on projects for the interns. I look forward to starting to put together our Reference Book and finish the Processes Project.
Have a great weekend!

What's good everyone,
Week 6 has been another great week in downtown Cleveland. As I mentioned in my last post, I got to go to the Cleveland Indians game last Friday. The good news is they won! Roll Tribe.
I have been hard at work with my projects as previously mentioned and assisting the Property Managers update their files in Props. Yesterday all the Cleveland interns had a customer service workshop called MAGIC. Which stands for; Make a connection, Act Professionally, Get to the Heart of the matter, Inform and clarify what you will do, Close with the relationship in mind. The workshop was lead by our HR department and they provided us with great information to help us communicate with everyone around us. The workshop made me think about things that I've never really thought of before and I definitely learned a thing or two. It was also really cool to meet the RS interns from Warrensville Heights office.
Well, as I'm writing this I have realized that I forgot my lunch in my car and I spilled water on myself. The good news it's Rebecca Black's day and everyone's looking forward to the weekend. That's all for me until next time,
Peace out,
Addison Carbone

Good Morning!
Friday is finally here and I am ready for the weekend, but first I need to recap on the week.
So, this week I have continued working on the reference book that the interns here in Phoenix and Addison in Cleveland have been working on. I have done a lot of research on different tax regulations and information for each state. There are many states that don't have any real regulations for taxes on rental properties, but some have extra requirements. Besides doing this research I have also continued to work on the organization of the closed CARTUS files. This task is taking some time to accomplish, but I'm almost halfway done. I'm making progress!
Also, the wellness committee members here volunteered to put together the newsletter, recipe, snack, and bulletin board for the month of June. I contributed to this by putting together the recipe, snack, and bulletin board. This was a fun task to do and something a little different than my everyday office duties. So make sure to check out the wellness board on the intranet under the HR section!
Have a good weekend everyone :)

Hello Everybody,
This week could have been by far my busiest week. This week I was assigned numerous projects that still dealt with security deposits and the security deposit interest’s disbursements in New Jersey and Connecticut. Let’s just say I am now best friends with Excel! Some of the other projects that I continued to work on were the new reference book for all the property managers with Nick, Chante, Addison and I. The reference book is going to take a while but I feel that we are on the right track to getting it done! I have also been working on creating spreadsheets for different cities in Arizona to help figure out the state tax amount on properties that we manage in Arizona. These projects have definitely kept me busy!
Even with all these projects that I have been working on I have been told that there are still more to come! I like having these projects because they teach me a lot that I did not know before and also keep my attention by keeping me so busy! So far this internship is everything I was hoping for and more, every day I leave the office I have learned something new!
I hope that everyone has a fantastic weekend!
-Chad
Hello,
This week was the best so far! I was super busy with having 2 of the RMI Specialist out of the office for a couple days. I had the experience of seeing many different types of work orders and issues within the RMI Department. The other interns and I worked on a reference book project for the property managers to use for the future. We also were assigned another intern project with the BPI Department in the company. This is one should be pretty quick and fun for us interns.
I finished up the bulk of my BPI & RMI Processes project this week but was unable to present my findings on Friday. The meeting didn't end up happening because everyone in the office was busy so I will present my findings at the end of this week. I look forward to new projects and finishing these existing projects because they are teaching me many new skills.

I like having these projects because they teach me a lot that I did not know before and also keep my attention by keeping me so busy! So far this internship is everything I was hoping for and more, every day I leave the office I have learned something new!
I hope that everyone has a fantastic weekend!

Hello,
This week was the best so far!

What's up everyone,
my 5th week at Dwellworks and another successful one. I spent most of my time this week assisting the property mangers complete tasks in PROPs, making new homeowner packets, and processing invoices. I also did some work in another operating system called preservtrac.
In between all of those projects I have also been compiling eviction information for every state. This is for the long term project with the other property management interns in Phoenix. Hopefully none of the property managers will have to use the information and evict someone! While collecting this information it is kind of cool to see how each state law differ slightly. I even came across a website with a how-to guide to use loop holes in California law to delay eviction for at least 3 months! That's crazy.
There was also a promotion this week that gave away free bratwursts and ice cream for lunch right across the street. It's Friday and I'm excited to get to the Cleveland Indians game tonight with my brother. Needless to say I'm loving being in downtown Cleveland right now. Roll Tribe!

Hello Everybody,
Another hot week here in the Valley of the Sun, but it's been a productive one. This week I have continued auditing PROPS for the Property Managers both in the Phoenix and Cleveland offices. I have also starting the daunting task of reorganizing all the closed Cartus files. These files contain all the hard copies of this info that's in PROPS! So you can only imagine how many files there are. I also have to come up with a system that will allow property managers to easily locate and add files to the file cabinet.
The interns here in the Phoenix office, as well as Addison in Cleveland, have also been given a big project to work on. We have to put together a reference book for the PM's that contains a lot of various information. This project is going to take some time, but with us four working on it we are sure to get it finished in a reasonable time. I know I'm going to be kept busy with these various projects going on.

Hello All,
This week was a very busy week for myself due to all the new projects that I have been assigned. One project that I was assigned by Duke was to calculate the interest rates on security deposits that are to be returned to the tenants in the upcoming weeks while also filling out all of the disbursement forms, which was actually very interesting and taught me a lot that I did not know! Another task that my fellow property management interns and I have been asked to help come up with is a reward and recognition program that will be connected to all of the Dwellworks, which will bring us all together and recognized everyone on the team for conducting great service to fellow employees and our clients. Lastly, my fellow property management interns and myself and even Addison from the Cleveland office have also been asked to create a reference book for Dwellworks that is current on a variety amount of information on laws and regulations for the property managers, RMI, and coordinators. This reference book will take some time but I can already tell that we are on the right track! With all of these projects along with my daily tasks I know that I will be kept busy for a while, however I am very excited to see how the development of these projects will come along in the following days/weeks to come!

Hola,
This week has been the busiest so far in my time here at Dwellworks. The other interns and I have been assigned a large project to establish a company reference book to help our customer relations. This project will take some time but I look forward to working closely with the other interns to put it together. The other project we worked on shortly this week was the Recognition Program. This project was fun to be a part of because it rewards employees for doing a GREAT job. Brainstorming meetings on how to reward people are not your typical boring meeting but something that is exciting to work on. The interns and the company leadership have developed a recognition program that we feel will motivate and reward employees. Because in the end we all want to be recognized if we are doing an outstanding job. I am also working on a project to compile all 3 RMI Specialists processes and analyze to find the best process. The project is in its early stages but I am excited to help leave something to make RMI more efficient. This week I have been doing more and more in the actually RMI systems between scheduling, invoicing, initial calls for work orders and much more. Overall I have to say the first month has been an awesome learning experience and a joy to get to know the employees in the office.

What's good everybody,
Week 3 has come and gone and I've been hard at work processing invoices and auditing PROPs the PM operating system. This week I went into the hard copies of files and found documents that were missing from PROPS. It was interesting to see how big some of files have gotten over the years. Some of the older files had actual pictures in them (who develops pictures anymore?).
I also developed a welcome packet for tenants. It holds key information for paying the rent, maintenance and repair issues, emergency situations, and the quarterly inspections. I think it's really cool that something that I have just done is already going to be used by my department.
On the non-work related front I got to my first concert in downtown Cleveland this summer. I saw the B-52's at Jacob's Pavilion with my mom. If you don't like alternative 80's music (which I can't really blame you) they're the guys that sing "Love Shack". Well that's been my week
Peace out,
Addison Carbone

Hey this is Chante;
this week has been a great learning experience because I started working with PROPs. All this week I have done PROPs and ACH audits, which has allowed me to explore the system and become very familiar with it. As a property management intern I hope that the property managers find these audits helpful.
As an intern, we have to choose a committee to be on and I have decided to be on the wellness committee. I chose this committee because I am interested in healthy eating and working out. In school I have a minor in Nutrition in Healthy Living, which I can hopefully provide some ideas to the committee from the various things I've learned at school.
Overall, I think this will be a great experience and I look forward to the new tasks that await me in the upcoming weeks.
This week has been a great learning experience for me. I have been assigned two projects this week with two very different tasks. The first project that I have been working on is doing Abstract Audits for a couple of the property managers. By doing these audits it has made me explore and familiarize myself with the PROPs system and audit paperwork. As for my second project, I have been conducting research on the security deposit laws throughout the country. This project has been a harder one then I thought due to so many of the states not providing enough information on the internet. These two tasks have been a great way for me to get started with my internship as a property manager because they have helped me learn more about what goes on behind the scenes and how important every little detail is!
This week I have also chosen the committee that I feel I can help out the most with, which happens to be the philanthropy committee. I feel that I could have some great ideas for this committee due to all the experience I have with them due to being the philanthropy chairman in my fraternity at Arizona State.
After looking back on this week I would say that it has been very busy, which I like. I am excited to see what next week’s tasks will entail.

This week has been very busy to say the least. The beginning of the week our Supply Chain Management team was out to visit John, Brandon and Tim they brought along one of our primary contractor Paul as well as Aleks from BPI. We spent most of Tuesday and Wednesday in meetings with the team to work on how we can make the job easier for each party involved. Tuesday night we went out to dinner as a team and did some bonding over food. It was decided throughout the meetings that I will be working with Aleks to improve the processes of RMI. I will also work on a project to create a manual to help in the training for new hires in RMI. When we got back to normal business on Thursday it was a busy day. I helped out with invoicing and calls to contractors to get caught up on work orders. Today has been the busiest and craziest day of my internship so far because one of the RMI specialists is not in the office. So today I have been in her place answering her email and working on her queue. It has been an exciting and stressful day in experiencing a full day with a full load of RMI. I hope the coming weeks will be just as exciting as I begin to work on the projects to help out the RMI team.

Hello again,
my second week at Dwellworks has been another great one. As the Property Management Intern I've already taken on a lot of responsibilities. So far my everyday responsibilities include, processing new invoices for the other Property Managers, preparing new homeowner packets, and uploading documents into PROP's the property management operating system. I also have daily projects to prepare the department for upcoming audits.
Though admittedly the work can sometimes be redundant and repeat itself (that's a joke), the company culture makes up for it tenfold. The business casual dress code is awesome. I couldn't imagine sitting in an office in a shirt and tie all day every day. When wearing jeans on the way to work, I silently chuckle to myself seeing other 20-year-olds in ties.
It’s not only the dress code that makes the great atmosphere at Dwellworks, it’s really the people. In fact on my first day the HR department had us do an ice breaker and one of the questions was "What's the best part of working at Dwellworks?" The most popular answer was being with the great co-workers. Renee, my manager, is simply awesome. She answers any questions I have and gives me assignments that help the entire department.

Property Management Department at Dwellworks 5th birthday party
I'm on the far left (owning the senior picture pose hand in thumb out) |
On a slightly less serious note there's quite a number of twenty-something’s that usually eat lunch together. On Wednesday we went to the Great Taste Buffet. Ranked in the top 100 buffet's (I'm not sure how tough it is to be in the top 100). After four plates of food I felt (full) like I was the only one to get my money's worth, and my fortune cookie held the best fortune I've ever gotten.
Later Days,

Aloha everybody
today is Friday the last day of my first week at Dwellworks. It feels like I have already been part of the team for a long time even though it’s only been one week! My first day, HR had a great exercise for the new interns to get to know most of the people around the office. I'm still getting to know everyone, but I know everyone at Property Management by name. Yesterday was really Dwellworks 5th birthday party. As I arrived at my desk there was, Fun Dip, a t-shirt, and a sticky hand waiting for me. Needless to say, I was already feeling like a five-year-old playing with a sticky hand in between tasks. The fun committee put on a great event. There was a contest in order to guess who-was-who based off of pictures when they were five-years-old. During our lunch break we watched Toy Story 2 in the conference room. Then we finished the celebration with a toast to Dwellworks and the breaking of a piñata.
After an event like that I had to join the fun committee. I'm looking forward to explaining more about how I'm helping the team and describing the culture at Dwellworks. But until then

Hey everybody,
my name is Addison Carbone; I'm a junior at Baldwin Wallace University. One of the reasons I decided to go to BW was because of its proximity and great connections to Cleveland. I actually heard of the Dwellworks internship through BW's career services. Another reason I chose BW was its excellent business program. I am marketing major with Finance and Management minors. I settled on these focuses after three semesters at BW. By taking different business and economics classes I found that marketing major fit my interests best. I am really looking to gain valuable experience during this internship. As a Property Management (PM) intern I will gain general business and operations knowledge. I play football and wrestle at BW, so when I get home every day I run or workout for a couple of hours. As a sports fan (especially and Cleveland sports fan) I hope to catch some Cleveland Indians games as I work just a few blocks from the stadium in downtown Cleveland. I am also planning to get to some concerts at the House of Blues this summer.
Signing off,
Addison Carbone

My name is Chad Ruvalcava and I am one of the new Property Management Interns in the Arizona office. I am a 22 year old senior, who is looking very forward to be graduating from Arizona State University in December, 2012. The reason why I chose to be a Sun Devil is due to my family. All of my family who has gone to college went to ASU, which in return made me want to go to college and join the family tradition! When I arrived at ASU I had no idea what I wanted to declare as a major until I started taking Communications classes. These classes grabbed my attention and I finally found something that I was interested in. Communications as a major was interesting to me because I am a very social person and love to communicate with others and find out about them. I also chose Communications as a major because I felt that the classes that I would be taking would help me in the real world when I have a job because of how broad the subject is and these classes I would take would give me a leg up on others when communicating with clients and employees in my future career.
Due to growing up in Phoenix, Arizona there are only so many things that you can do that involves the outdoors during the summer months. So when I was a child I joined a competitive swim team. Although I am now too old to be on a competitive swim team but as a fun hobby I continue to swim in my spare time even during the colder winter and fall months. Swimming is fun to me because it gives me a chance to clear my head and focus on something that I a lot of passion for. A long with swimming I like to play basketball and baseball.
When I found out that I was going to be a Property Management Intern for Dwellworks, I was extremely excited for all of the new things that I would be learning from such a great company. Throughout this internship process there are a lot of things that I wish to take away from this experience. First of all, I hope to learn ins and outs about being a property manager. There are so many things to learn about being a property manager that many people do not realize and I continually learn something new each day that I come into work. I also hope to learn more about the business aspect of how a company runs in regards to providing great service to the clients of Dwellworks, the accounting side of the company, and all the behind the scene work that people do not realize contribute to the success in a company. Most of all what I truly hope to learn is from this internship is the intangibles that create a great employee in the business world.
After working here for only a week I have already learned so much and cannot wait to learn more as the days and weeks go on!

I go to Arizona State University and will be entering my junior year in the fall. I have always wanted to attend ASU, but in the end I chose it over other colleges because its business school is one of the best and it has a one-of-a-kind honors college. I am majoring in Accounting with a minor in Nutrition and Healthy Living. Business has always interested me and I chose accounting because of the business aspect, I'm good with numbers, and I became interested in it after taking an accounting class in high school. From this internship, I hope to learn business and professional skills that will help me succeed in the future with my career. For fun I like to do things outdoors, hiking, running, playing tennis, etc. I also really like to play and watch softball. When I get the chance, I also like to read and spend time with family.

I have chosen to be a part of the Philanthropy Committee. I have a ton of past experience in philanthropy and believe I can bring unique ideas to the committee. Some ideas I have for the committee is trying to incorporate some type of philanthropic effort each month in each office. I believe the more the company and its employees can be out in the community helping those in need, the better the company name is recognized in a positive sense. The community service also brings together people as a team and builds teamwork skills that cannot be seen in the office environment. I would like to help the committee start an annual philanthropy that is planned and executed by the Dwellworks team. Whether it be some type of canned food drive or clothes drive, but something the Dwellworks can call its own.
What year in school you are: Going into my sophomore year
What school you are attending and why you chose it: Arizona State University, because both of my parents are alumni and I have been attending football games since I can remember. Also, I am studying business and ASU ranks as a top business school in the United States.
Your major and why you chose it: BA in Legal Studies, because I am planning on attending law school after I finish my undergrad studies. I want to get into sports management on the contract writing and negotiation side.
What you are hoping to learn from this internship: I am hoping to learn new business and professional skills that I can take into my future positions in the business world. This will be a unique opportunity to learn and experience the business atmosphere while I am still in my undergraduate studies. I also hope to learn communication skills in the business world that I can take into my future jobs.
What you like to do for fun: I enjoy almost anything that has to do with watching, playing or attending sports. I love to be active whether it be running, weight lifting, or playing a sport. I also enjoy spending time with family being that they all live in the Phoenix area. Also, doing volunteer work is something I enjoy, I have volunteered countless hours at my church as well as the American Cancer Society.
So far this first week I have been doing chair sides with one of the RMI specialist to start learning how to operate as an RMI intern. This week has been full of learning experiences and getting use to new systems. I can tell from the first week of being here the company has a lot of young energy and likes to have a good time. All the staffs in the office were very welcoming and are always there to help. It was exciting to be a part of the 5th Birthday Celebration of Dwellworks. I look forward to getting my own workload and contributing to this outstanding company!
